Director of Studio Production Position

Made by Mary is looking for an in house Director of Production / Studio to manage its production and fulfillment line.

- Keeping the production line uninterrupted by managing workflow and staffing
- Creating and improving processes that support the production team
- Direct and manage all aspects of the stamping / tech / assembly and shipping teams
- Act as a liaison between product development and merchandising teams

Production & Workflow:
Maintain and execute production schedule to ensure prompt fulfillment of all orders and jobs (window not to exceed 14 days)
- Assessing and triaging production workflow to meet the needs of the production and shipping teams
- Batching orders daily
- Manage inventory and ordering of equipment, tools, stamps,
shipping materials etc. and other equipment needed to ensure timely deliveries and uninterrupted production and delivery flow
- Serve as the point of quality control to ensure all orders leaving the studio meet our quality standards (including shipping)
- Improve efficiency and lead times for all production operations
- Review and analyze production efficiency, lead times, losses and quality control metrics on a quarterly basis

Wholesale + Inventory:
- Coordinate with outside vendors to complete jobs when necessary (through Director of Product)
- Work with wholesale to fulfill wholesale orders, including invoicing, picking, production, packing and shipping
- Maintain inventory control within the team for finished goods as well as components
- Maintain and update database of manufacturing costs and pricing for wholesale

Team & Support:
- Report to the CEO
- Serve as a liaison between studio, product and merchandising teams
- Assessing team and resource requirements
- Collaborating with merchandising and marketing on product availability, timelines, and photo shoots.

  • Proficiency in basic jewelry production skills
  • Solid foundation in Excel and inventory tracking systems
  • Knowledge of Shopify or a plus
